Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding or meal planning as needed.
- Administer medication reminders and track daily health logs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and loneliness.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and errands to ensure a safe living environment.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, social events, or recreational activities.
- Monitor client behavior and report any changes in health or mood to the family or supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is highly preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference verification.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and assist clients with mobility as required.
