Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and ensure proper documentation.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, play games, and accompany clients on walks or appointments.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment for the client.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in physical or emotional condition to the supervisor.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments and social activities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma: or equivalent GED.
- CNA or PCA Certification: Preferred but not required for immediate hires.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- CPR/First Aid Certification: Current certification is required.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Genuine patience, empathy, and a desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.
