Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Medication Management: Provide timely reminders for medication and ensure clients take their prescribed medications correctly.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and social activities to reduce loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Meal Assistance: Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients, including laundry and light cleaning.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, or running errands as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, nursing assistance, or elderly care is preferred but not always required.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills, patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
