Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility, transferring, and walking using proper techniques.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and feeding.
- Manage medication reminders and assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients to reduce isolation.
- Transport clients to medical appointments and community activities as needed.
- Document daily care activities and report any changes in client condition to supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in home care, nursing, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
