Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs.
- Provide medication reminders and monitor client health status.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, and errands.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a safe environment.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce isolation.
- Document daily care logs and report any changes in condition to supervisors immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus but not required.
- Previous experience in home care or healthcare is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to perform caregiving tasks and lift clients safely.
