Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting with the utmost dignity and respect.
- Medication Reminders: Monitor and remind clients to take prescribed medications on time, reporting any missed doses or side effects to the supervisor immediately.
- Companionship: Build meaningful relationships through conversation, reading, games, and outings to reduce loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Household Support: Assist with light housekeeping tasks including meal preparation, laundry, and vacuuming to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and social events using a reliable vehicle.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and document changes in client behavior, appetite, or physical condition, and communicate these updates to the nursing team.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma: or GED equivalent is required.
- CNA or PCA Certification: Preferred but not mandatory; we provide paid training for motivated candidates.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- CPR/First Aid Certification: Required or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and staff.
- Patience & Empathy: A genuine desire to help others and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
