Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, to clients of all ages.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition and hydration.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain a safe living environment.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, and community outings.
- Monitor and document client health status, reporting any changes or concerns immediately to the care coordinator.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with light wound care as trained.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of isolation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus but not mandatory for all roles.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to lift and assist patients weighing up to 50 lbs (if applicable).
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
