Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Monitor and administer medications as prescribed by licensed nurses.
- Companionship: Engage residents in social activities, conversation, and hobbies to promote mental well-being.
- Health Monitoring: Observe resident conditions and promptly report any changes, concerns, or accidents to the nursing staff.
- Housekeeping: Maintain residents' living areas clean, safe, and organized to ensure a comfortable environment.
- Meal Assistance: Assist with meal preparation and feeding according to dietary restrictions.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required; CNA or Home Health Aide certification is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in long-term care, home health, or hospitality is a plus but not mandatory.
- Valid License: Valid Nevada driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attributes: Genuine compassion, patience, and a positive attitude towards the elderly population.
