Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding clients who require special dietary support.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and recreational activities.
- Monitor and document client health status, mood, and medication schedules accurately.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping trips, and social events.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and tidying up the living space.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by identifying potential hazards and reporting maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- CNA, PCA, or HHA certification is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
