Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Medication Management: Provide timely reminders for medication and assist with medication administration as required.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious, appetizing meals based on dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, hobbies, and social activities to combat loneliness.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for your assigned clients.
- Transportation Assistance: Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social outings as needed.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Track and report changes in health status or behavior to the supervising nurse or family members.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- CPR/First Aid Certification: Current certification in CPR and Basic First Aid is highly preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, nursing assistance, or personal care is a plus but not always required.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and assist clients (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks as needed.
- High School Diploma: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
