Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients maintain a nutritious diet.
- Administer medication reminders and monitor clients for any changes in physical or mental health.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, and recreational activities.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients.
- Document daily care activities and report any concerns to the nursing supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; CNA or HHA certification is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient demeanor.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Experience with elderly care or special needs is highly preferred.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
