Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and dental operatory for procedures including instrument sterilization and equipment setup
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery, restorative work, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging technology
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Deliver patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene protocols
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
- Maintain sterile environment following OSHA and CDC guidelines
Qualifications
- Active Texas Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and intraoral cameras
- CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Experience with Eaglesoft practice management software
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
