Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient charts and electronic health records (EHRs)
- Provide chairside support and patient education on oral hygiene
- Oversee inventory ordering and supply management
- Maintain clean, organized treatment rooms and operatory areas
Qualifications
- Current NJ Dental Assistant certification or DANB eligibility
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage anxious patients
- Attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
