Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during complex treatments and surgeries
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization
- Perform accurate charting and documentation
- Order and maintain dental supplies inventory
- Provide post-operative care instructions
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana Dental Assistant certification
- X-ray certification (DANB or state-approved)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience
- Strong knowledge of dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR certification
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- Attention to detail and manual dexterity
