Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems with precision
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain OSHA compliance protocols
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour models for prosthetic work
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide under dentist supervision
- Manage patient scheduling, recall systems, and digital charting
- Train new staff on practice-specific protocols and technologies
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or Radiology license (Texas State Board)
- 2+ years of clinical experience in general or cosmetic dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal date
- Exceptional chairside manner and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple procedures simultaneously
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail in infection control protocols
