Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex dental procedures including restorations, crowns, and periodontal treatments
- Manage digital imaging systems (X-rays, intraoral cameras) and maintain accurate patient records
- Implement OSHA sterilization protocols and inventory management for dental instruments
- Deliver patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene techniques
- Coordinate treatment plans with dentists and hygienists for seamless workflow
- Assist in front desk operations including scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Active Texas Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or Dentrix practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
