Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with dietary needs
- Transport clients to medical appointments and errands
- Document care activities and maintain client records
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals for continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active Virginia Home Health Aide certification
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Passionate about senior care and empathetic communication
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Clean background check and TB screening
- Proficiency in care documentation software
