Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring sterile environments and proper equipment functionality
- Accurately document patient information in EHR systems following HIPAA guidelines
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient scheduling, insurance verification, and billing documentation
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a medical practice or clinic
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Current BLS certification
