Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient flow and maintain accurate medical records in EHR systems
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Coordinate lab tests and referrals to specialists
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Active California CMA certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- BLS certification from AHA or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Spanish bilingual preferred
