Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Administer medications and vaccines following clinical protocols
- Perform vital signs measurements and EKGs
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision
- Schedule appointments and maintain efficient clinic workflows
- Assist in sterilizing equipment and maintaining exam rooms
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills for patient interactions
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
