Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital sign measurement and medical history documentation
- Assist providers during clinical procedures and maintain sterile examination environments
- Administer medications and injections per physician protocols
- Perform point-of-care testing and manage laboratory specimens
- Coordinate patient scheduling and maintain electronic health records (EHR)
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume setting
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical documentation standards
