Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient observations, and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure patients receive proper nutrition
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment
- Support emotional well-being through companionship and patient advocacy
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
Qualifications
- Current Nebraska CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year experience in long-term care or hospital setting preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate approach to patient care with attention to detail
- Reliable transportation and flexible schedule availability
