Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients, adhering to all infection control and safety protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Support physicians and registered nurses during procedures and examinations.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Florida State CNA Certification.
- CPR/BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required or willingness to obtain.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory for top candidates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate attitude and a genuine desire to help patients.
