Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe and report changes in patient condition, including vital signs and behavioral changes, to the nursing staff.
- Assist with Daily Living: Provide hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document patient care activities, intake/output, and shift reports in electronic medical records.
- Patient Communication: Maintain a calm and supportive demeanor when communicating with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Sanitation & Safety: Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment by adhering to strict infection control and safety protocols.
- Medication Assistance: Assist patients with medication reminders and administration as directed by licensed nurses.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid and current Georgia CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks as needed.
