Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist the nursing staff with medical procedures and administer medications as directed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and visitors.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Current Texas CNA Certification and valid State License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ACLS preferred).
- Previous experience in a hospital, assisted living facility, or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
