Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems, needs, and recovery progress by performing comprehensive physical examinations and medical history reviews.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies prescribed by physicians, strictly adhering to safety protocols and state regulations.
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide timely interventions in response to changes in condition.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication adherence, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and legally compliant documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless patient flow and high-quality care delivery.
Qualifications
- Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
