Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Prepare patients for examinations or treatments and assist nurses during procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient environment.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Change linens and maintain patient rooms in a sanitary condition.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required, active and in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Physical stamina to lift, turn, and move patients as needed.
