Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility transfers and patient positioning
- Support infection control protocols and maintain sterile environments
- Collaborate with RNs and healthcare teams for coordinated care
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
- Perform routine equipment checks and supply inventory management
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience required
- BLS/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Electronic health record (EHR) proficiency preferred
- Clear background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, nights, and weekends
