Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility needs.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or concerns to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Document patient care plans and progress notes in the electronic health record (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, active Texas CNA Certification (CNA 1) required.
- CPR/BLS Certification must be valid and up-to-date.
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift, move, and support patients of varying weights as required.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
