Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and document vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during difficult times.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment to prevent infection and ensure patient comfort.
Qualifications
- Current, valid California CNA or LPN license (CNA required).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience in a hospital or long-term care setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs safely.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
