Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct, hands-on patient care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting assistance.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assistance: Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and exercises to ensure safety and comfort during their stay.
- Communication: Serve as a vital communication link between patients, families, and the medical team, documenting patient progress and concerns accurately.
- Hygiene: Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, ensuring linens and equipment are sanitized and organized.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations, following established safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of basic life support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on empathy and patient advocacy.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks as required by the job.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic computer skills for electronic charting and documentation.
