Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance as needed.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Hygiene: Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, ensuring infection control standards are met.
- Communication: Report changes in patient condition, symptoms, or behavior to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain patient care records, charts, and logs.
- Assistance: Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility support, including transferring patients to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Meal Support: Assist patients with feeding and ensure they remain well-hydrated throughout their shift.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a current and valid CNA certification (state-required).
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of basic nursing procedures, patient assessment, and vital sign monitoring.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for helping others and providing high-quality patient-centered care.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients and medical staff.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift and transfer patients, and perform physical tasks as required.
- Clearance: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
