Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician and supervised by nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with facility protocols.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA License in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
