Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs: Accurately monitor and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance: Support patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communication: Report patient changes in condition, mood, or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Hygiene: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and fellow staff members.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) for all assigned patients.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and active CNA license in the State of Texas required.
- Training: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is a plus.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for patient care and a patient-first attitude.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
