Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, reporting any significant changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive equipment.
- Maintain a pristine, sanitized patient environment to ensure safety and infection control standards.
- Document all patient care activities, interactions, and changes in condition in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Missouri required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
