Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately.
- Assist registered nurses with medical procedures and treatments as directed.
- Transports patients to and from treatment areas, wheelchair, or stretcher.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Reports any changes in patient condition or concerns to the nursing supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Current and active Wisconsin CNA License (required).
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred.
- CPR/BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient dignity and comfort.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check.
