Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures and patient transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Document patient care activities, updates, and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infection and ensure comfort.
- Offer emotional support and communication to patients and their families during their stay.
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests to ensure high-quality care standards.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required (State of Minnesota).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
