Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance with Procedures: Support licensed nurses with wound care, catheter care, and other medical procedures as directed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient changes and concerns to the nursing staff and family members.
- Safety & Hygiene: Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; ability to stand for extended periods.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
