Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate.
- Assist with Medical Procedures: Support nurses and physicians with wound care, catheter care, and other medical procedures as directed.
- Patient Communication: Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and logs in compliance with HIPAA and facility standards.
- Environment Safety: Ensure the patient's environment is clean, safe, and free from hazards.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification: Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Texas.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks.
