Responsibilities
Provide exceptional personal care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately reporting any abnormalities to the supervising nurse. Administer medications and perform treatments as directed by the registered nurse or physician. Maintain a clean, safe, and infection-free environment for all patients and staff. Offer emotional support and companionship to patients to enhance their quality of life and dignity. Assist with patient transfers and mobility using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
Qualifications
Current, unencumbered State CNA license required. CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and families. Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients safely and comfortably. Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient advocacy and care standards. Reliable transportation to and from patient homes in the Detroit metro area.
