Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration)
- Provide mobility assistance and transfer patients safely using proper techniques
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
- Document care provided accurately and maintain patient confidentiality
- Support patients with emotional and social needs to enhance wellbeing
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months of recent CNA experience in long-term care or hospital setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate approach with patient-centered care philosophy
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
