Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking and transferring to beds or wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions are met.
- Change linens and maintain a clean, sanitized environment for residents.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Document patient care activities and intake in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current North Carolina CNA license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic charting.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
