Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with feeding and mobility as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Document patient care records accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification issued by the State of Arizona.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a desire to help others.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
