Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide basic patient care under supervision of licensed nurses
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to healthcare team
- Maintain clean and safe patient environments
- Document care activities accurately in medical records
- Support residents with mobility and transportation needs
- Assist with meal service and nutritional monitoring
- Participate in team meetings and continuing education
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current Louisiana CNA certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days
- Basic computer skills for documentation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate attitude toward elderly care
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic CPR/First Aid certification preferred
