Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, with the utmost respect and dignity.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients; assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Communication: Report any changes in patient condition or behavioral changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Meal Assistance: Serve meals, assist with feeding, and monitor dietary intake for residents with special needs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care plans.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Georgia CNA certification required (Entry-level candidates with willingness to obtain certification are considered).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for helping others and a strong desire to work in the geriatric or healthcare sector.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks as required by the role.
- License: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are recommended.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
