Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Prepare meals and ensure patients are properly nourished and hydrated throughout their shift.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate patient observations and changes in condition promptly to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the direct supervision of licensed staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA Certification in the State of California.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
