Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Monitor patient comfort levels and report any changes in condition to the Charge Nurse immediately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Transport patients to treatment areas, operating rooms, or diagnostic tests as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients in accordance with hospital standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (or eligibility to obtain).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate electronic health records.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centric attitude.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
