Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance with Mobility: Safely assist patients with walking, transferring to and from beds/wheelchairs, and using walkers or canes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient care records in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communication: Effectively communicate changes in patient behavior or condition to the nursing staff and charge nurse immediately.
- Hygiene & Nutrition: Ensure patients are well-hydrated and fed according to dietary restrictions and care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to call lights and emergency situations, following established safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Licensure: Current and active CNA license issued by the state of California required.
- Experience: No prior experience required; Entry-Level candidates are welcome to apply.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and a strong desire to help the elderly and sick.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required within 30 days of hire.
