Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care services such as bathing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking and transferring between bed and wheelchair.
- Communicate patient status and concerns to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Assist with feeding patients who require assistance with meals.
- Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and organized.
- Document daily care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required or ability to obtain within 30 days.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong compassion and patience when working with the elderly or disabled.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous healthcare experience is a plus but not required for entry-level candidates.
