Responsibilities
- Provide basic bedside care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transferring them safely between bed and chair or wheelchair.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and nutritional plans.
- Communicate patient needs and changes in condition to the Registered Nurse or supervising staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
- Administer prescribed medications and document administration accurately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong compassion and patience when working with the elderly or disabled.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic health record entry.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
